We asked and we got, Winter Chaos was exactly what it said on the tin!
50-60mph wind and torrential rain accompanied with the best bunch of keen longboarders.
Most of us arriving Friday got settled into Patterdale Hall outdoor centre.
Well fed on Saturday morning we headed out to the hill for 10am, walls of rain attacked us while rivers flowed through every apex!
We tried to set up a tarp to provide shelter, the tarp obviously failed as it was blowing 60mph, so we geared up and hit the hill!
After around 3 hours everyone was starting to feel the cold, soaking wet to the skin & a few groups began heading back to our accommodation.
Hermione stayed…. She missioned through six hours of riding until darkness set in!!!
Fed, watered & warm we made the most of the games room & large wood burner till the early hours 🙂
Our leathers & skate gear dry from the drying room we headed back out to the hill on Sunday. The rain stopped as we arrived, it even held off for racing!
Racing was close, nearly every heat was a battle!
Lewis had to fight hard to win his heats and take some tight lines…
Tom Campbell & Ry Swanton battling it out into the second corner…
Freeride continued after the Trophies were handed out, allowing people to leave if they needed to.
1st Ben Stainer
2nd Lewis Taylor
3rd Tom Campbell
Big thanks to everyone that came & Patterdale Hall for having us.
It was a pleasure to ride with you guys, see you all on a hill soon 🙂
